Some Different types of the Intellectual Property

Intellectual property protection is available for many different types of creations, such as:

Industrial Design

A product designed for functionality, usability, or aesthetics may be referred to as industrial design. Industrial Design Acts protect these designs. Industrial designs must be visually appealing and original. The Patent Office covers only non-functional elements of industrial designs.

As a reward for their work and investment, industrial design rights reward a creator for their hard work. The time frame for enforceable protection is typically between 10 and 25 years, divided into terms. For an extension of your registration, you will need to renew your registration.

Database

The sole purpose of database rights is to protect databases. There are rights where there is a substantial amount of work involved in getting, presenting, or verifying the content of a database. This investment can be financial, technical, or human. Original database owners are responsible for collecting, verifying, and presenting the contents of a database. The database owner has the right to prevent others from reusing part or all its contents. This right is valid for 15 years after the database is created. However, if the database is published within this time, the database rights are enforceable for 15 years from the date of publication
